As I get older and life does what it does I often ask God what was the real purpose for us being here. Is our existance a necessity? This holiday season has been a rough one for lots of families. People are dieing left and right and most of them are unexpected. Many are taking their lives because the stress is just too much. Does anybody find it a task to obtain real joy? We go through our daily routines, but if you think about it, there is no REAL joy. We just go through the motions of what we think we should be doing. Do we really understand God's plan for our life or are we just going with the flow? I want to understand God and his for my life, however, like most people, it can get hard sometimes. Let me take a side bar and share with you a conversation I had with the lord recently. Maybe this will help someone else.
I was asking God about sickness and suffering. The bible says that " HE was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed."... so why is there so much sickness and suffering in the earth. I thought that when Jesus went to the cross it was for the whole world and HE did it so we would not have to go through it. Why is cancer, aids, diabeties, high blood pressure, thyroid, prostate cancer, and many other diseases taking pople out of here? I began to get angry with God and that is ok.... HE can handle you being mad. God showed me a powerful revelation and what christians should be doin in this hour.
We are living in the LAST DAYS. Christ is soon to return. I know we have heard that for years, but the signs of the time are here. I went through the scripture and found some signs of the end. Here are some of them:
-people will pretend to be CHRIST, War (Rev. 6.4), Nation against nation, Earthquales, Famines, Pestilences, Fearful Sights and Great Signs in Heaven, Persecution of Belivers and Exposing, Betrayed by parents, family, and friends, Christians will be put to death, Men will hate us because of Jesus, Jerusalem will be attacked and trodden down, signs in the moon, stars, and sun, Distress in the land, Anger upon christians, killing by the sword, people will be taken away captive, people will drop dead because of fear of what they see going on, and so much more. Does any of this sound familiar to you? It does to me.What should we be doing?
Every believer should get close to the loord right now. I know it's tempting to try to fit in with the world, but the world is going to hell. POINT BLANK... HELL. Do you want to go too? It's time out for us to stop apoligizing for loving God. NO.... we are not bringing the world into the church to "draw people." Thats not the word. Jesus said "If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me." We've got to lift Jesus up in all that we do. I know as a believer it gets hard, but know that satan is defeated and he is under your feet. We must plead the BLOOOD OF JESUS over our Bodies, our Marriages, our Family, and every aspect of our lives. There is power in the blood. Every morning when you wake say "Lord Send YOUR GLORY." Pray everyday. Stay in HIS presence. GOD and the devil can not occupy the same space.
I don't understnd everything God does and sometimes I don't like it, but I trust that HE knows what he is doing. I don't believe HE would place us here to torture us for fun. He does care about us and I pray that when I leave here I will live with him forever.

The Glory in 2011
Seasons Greeting to all! I know it has been a while since I have written. However, I could not let his year end without encouraging my family,friends,and supporters. The soul purpose of this blog is to help strengthen and encourage all those who are striving to live a life full of the blessings and favor of the lord.
2010 has been a very interesting year. We've seen highs and lows. One thing we can say for sure and that is that God was with us - you and I. Some people lost their lives and some took their lives. Some lost their job and didn't know how they would make it the next day. Some of us struggled to find a peace of mind and walked in constant fear. And.. yes.. inspite of all that God was faithful and He never left our side. He stood in the fire with us and allowed us to see his awesome power at work first hand. I thank Him for the mountains and the valleys because they have made me who I am today. I know that God is a delivering God. I know that He is a healing God. I depend on him for every breath I take. He is keeping me.
I went through one of the best/worst six months of my life recently. In the midst of me going through I saw God in a very real way. He revealed himself to me in so many ways. I know what the power of true prayer can do. Sometimes I went to God and asked why me? Why do I have to endure spiritual warfare? Why do I have to be back stabbed and act as if nothing happened? Why do I have to see flawed leadership in the body of Christ and yet still be a part of it? WHy do I have to minister to people who have no desire to change? But HE revealed so many things to me in this season. This is a little of what I have learned that I am allowed to share with you.
We are living in the endtimes and God is soon to return. Do you believe that? If you don't, look at the signs of the times. Everything the bible spoke of is happening. I feel like we could blink our eye any moment and the rapture would have taken place. People are not coming to church like they use to and there is no respect for the things of God. What do I mean by the "things of God?" The "things of God" are his statues, will, holliness, presence, and all of who HE is. There use to be a time when someone said they were a preacher that people would give respect - that has gone out the window. People are becoming more evil and cold hearted. The fear of the lord has left the world and the church.
God showed me that HE is merciful and HE is getting ready to pour out HIS glory on his people before the end of times. HE is giving everyone a chance to hear his word even if they don't want to . satan is preoccuping the minds of people to the degree they cannot/will not hear the word of the lord or let it penetrate their heart. satan is using the falls of major christian preachers to discredit the church so people will be able to say "that's why I don't go to church." (It you are one of those peole understand that you will have to answer to God for yourself. Not what a preacher did.) If you know there are things in your life that don't line up with the word of God you need to ask him to help you come out of it. (And we all have things in our life that need to be removed.) The Apostle Paul said it like this " we die daily."
God's glory is coming back to the church and I don't know about you but I want to be one of the ones who experience it. It will come into our church services, our cars, our jobs, in the schools, and it will be seen and felt. Not everyone will feel it, but everyone will see it. When the glory comes you can expect it to bring healing. deliverance, spiritual gifts, weeping, and various expressions. It will be a glorious thing.
We are getting ready to enter into 2011 and my prayer is that the glory of the lord (KABOD) will manifest itself so strong. We will have trails and tribulations, but according to Psalm 91 we are protected. I pray you have a great new year and may the favor and protection of the lord rest upon you.

Prayer (Everyone Does It... Few Are Sure It Works) Part 2: Dominion "Let Them"
We are back again for part two of the series on prayer. I hope you are enjoying this series. Let's dig in. The last time we talked about Keys. Today we will talk about Dominion "Let Them"
I want to start with this statement. The bible is not about religion. It is simply about a King (God revealed in Christ on Earth), a Kingdom (a government and a country called heaven), and a Royal Family( his offspring - us). In a nut shell, it about God's intention to extend his heavenly Kingdom here on earth. Genesis 1:26 "says let them have dominion." We all know this was messed up by Adam, but God sent Jesus to give this dominion (kingdom or governing authority) back to us. This truth is found in Matthew 4:17 "repent for the kingdom of God is at hand." This was Jesus' main sermon. With that being said, lets talk about prayer.
Without God man can not and without man God will not. In Genesis 1:26 God said " 26 "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, a]">and over all the creatures that move along the ground." This is God's mission and vision statement for man. The word man is plural and refers to the spirit being. The word image means nature or character. We are spirit beings because God is and we have God's characteristics because we are made in his image. No other creature on earth has God image. The word likeness means to function like God. God functions by a substance called faith. God speaks and things happen. In the kingdom of God you have to believe before you see. Habakkuk 2:4 says "the just shall live by faith."
The best way to understand God and what he says is to know what he did not say. He did not say let us have dominion. He took his self out and said "Let them have dominion." He separated himself from that statement. Ask yourself this question; If God is sovereign (can do whatever he wants without being affected by humanity) why pray? Ok... you thought about it? Here are some answers: God is only as sovereign as his word (he is only sovereign until he speaks), HE chose to limit himself to his word, he will never violate his word, his holiness protects his integrity, and when he speaks his word becomes law. This is the heart of prayer.
"Let them" is a law that was established. He will not violate that law. Psalm 138:2 says "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." The word name means "to be." When Moses asked God what his name was he said "I AM" (whatever you need him to be.)
God gave each one of us the ability to control what happens here in the earth. He is always willing and available to operate through us. We can not blame HIM when we choose to do things our way. All he needs is access to the earth through us. Therefore, any spirit on earth without a physical body or cooperating with a physical body is illegal. That's why demons and angels are illegal on earth without permission. God saw Eve when she was being tempted, but he could not intervene because he did not have a body and satan knew that. (Side bar: Maybe God is not moving in your situation because you have not given him permission to.) HE made a promise to the devil in Genesis 3:15 and we'll go there tomorrow.
Know that you have dominion and you don't have to take anything the enemy gives you. The power is in your spirit man not your flesh. Can't wait for part three tomorrow.

Prayer (Everyone Does It... Few Are Sure It Works) Part 1: Keys
Part 1: Keys
Prayer is universal. Every human being has a natural inclination to address a deity. Even the atheist when he mashes his finger prays to someone. Every religion does it. Yet very few people believe it works. The sad thing is that it is the smallest meeting in every church. Why? As human beings we are inclined to resist things that don't work. People have tried prayer and feel that it doesn't work so they avoid it at all cost. People don't attend prayer meeting. That's why we relegate it to a few old church mothers. However, there is no ministry in the bible called intercession. The bible says that all men should pray.
If we all would be honest, we prayed for years and did not see results. I believe the reason why is because we don't know the keys and principles to prayer. Jesus said in Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Okay... what are keys? Keys are principles. Keys give you authority, access, power, and control over something. If I give you the keys to my car you have access to it at any time. The principle of prayer gives you access to heaven so we can control and impact what happens here in the earth.
Have you ever asked these question: "Does God hear me?" "Why does it seem like my prayers are hitting the sealing and bouncing back at me?" " Is God mad at me?" "Why is prayer so boring and fruitless for me?" Most of the time we pray and wonder if it is even making sense, but because of the pressure of doing it we do it as a ritual without expecting any results.
He said I will give you the keys to heaven. Heaven is a place. In Matthew 18:19 he says "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."These are powerful statements. These are prayer keys. Jesus came to bring a kingdom to earth. Not a religion. We have developed a religion that is not compatible with the kingdom. Thats why he said keys of the kingdom and not to the kingdom. There are many keys of the kingdom. We have been using the wrong key to unlock things in our life through prayer. Prayer is giving God permission to impact your life. In order to get the right results in prayer you have to use the right key.
Note: Prayer is not automatic. Just because you can talk does not mean you can pray. Jesus told the pharisees " you think you will be heard because of your much speaking." In other words long drawn out prayers does not guarantee that the lord will answer you. So that tears the thoery down that prayer is just talking to God. Let me prove it. In Luke 11:1 Jesus went to pray and when he finished the disciples asked him to teach them to pray. When they ask him Jesus did not say "just talk." He gave them a pattern to go by. He taught them for three chapters on prayer. Prayer has to be learned.

100% Chance
This is just a quick note to all of you who are going through a trial. The devil is trying to make you think you're going crazy and that you will never have victory. The bible says that the devil is the Father of Lies. He can't tell the truth. What does that mean? It means that everything the devil tells you is 100% chance the opposite. It's goes kinda like this: If he tells you
You ain't nothing - 100% chance you are more than a conquer
You ain't healed - 100% percent chance by Jesus stri1pes you are healed
God does not love you - 100% chance in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has good thoughts towards you
You will loose your mind an go crazy - 100% chance if you keep your mind on Christ Jesus he will keep you in perfect peace
You are depressed and down - 100% chance you are up. It's just an allusion.
You will never have a man or woman to love you - 100% chance God has someone for you around the corner
You will never be successful - 100% chance you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you
Your season will never come - 100% chance you are in your season
You will never be financially successful - 100% chance you are the head and not the tail, lender and not the borrower, on top only and never beneath.
The devil can control you - 100% chance the blood has paid a price for you 2000 years ago and you belong to God.

Fill My Cup Lord
I am a music lover, as many of you know. I love all types of music. However, I have been ordained to sing gospel music. All music is beautiful in some way but there is nothing like a good hymn. Of course, I was like every other teenager growing up. I thought hymns were boring and only for old people. But one Sunday morning it changed.
I was sitting on the choir stand at Grace Cathedral (my home church) when Pastor started singing this song I had never heard. He said he needed some help and hear comes this lady from the audience. She sang these words "Like the woman at the well, I was seeking for things that could not satisfy. But I heard my precious Jesus saying draw from my well that never runs dry." All of a sudden the atmosphere changed when she got to this chorus " Fill my cup lord. I lift it up lord. Quench this thirsting my soul. Bread of Heaven feed me till I want no more. Here's my cup. Fill it up and make me whole."
The glory of the lord filled the room: Church mothers began to rock back and forth, musicians lifted their hands, babies stopped crying, ministers and evangelist forgot about their titles, the soloist fell to the floor, and worship went forth. I didn't know that a hymn could have so much power. But these words ran deep in to the crevices of the heart. A place where only the healing hand of Jesus can go. Have you ever been there? Have you ever said " Lord if you don't help me, nothing else even matters. Only you can bring me through this."
There's a scripture in Psalm 23 that says "He anoints my head with oil and my cup runneth over." There comes a time in your life when nothing else matters. All you want is that touch from God. When he fills you it's a never ending stream unless you stop the flow. The only person who can stop that flow is you through anger, unforgivness, jealousy, and the like. I don't want anything or anyone to stop God's flow to me. I need him like the dessert needs the rain. I would be crazy right now if it had not been for him. I would have been backsliden and in the clubs, but his grace and mercy kept me. I want the flow to continue in my life.
This song is comforting to me and a prayer I can pray anytime of the day. You can pray this too. You don't have to have a beautiful voice or a recording contract. All he wants is your sincere heart crying out before him. He want to hear you. Not your mother or father. They can't receive your flow. Your flow was made just for you. Try it today or tonight when you go to bed. Ask him to begin to fill you over and over again. That's how I have been able to make it these past few months. Each day I ask the lord to fill my cup. He said in his model prayer "give us this day our daily bread." Therefore I can't worry about tomorrow. All I can do is live today and receive all he has for me today. He will do it. It has worked for me in my life.
Let's Pray: Father in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I pray that this reader will feel your presence right now even as they read this. I pray that your glory will be manifested in their life and the you will fill their cup with more of you. I pray that you will make them whole and renew their strength. Let them experience more of you in their life. Heal every sick, depressed. and oppressed person reading this right now. We need you God. If you don't help us no one can. Fill marriage cups right now God. Let nothing or no one break up marriages. Fill our spiritual cup and our finacial cup

Try it today or tonight when you go to bed. Ask him to begin to fill you over and over again. That's how I have been able to make it these past few months. Each day I ask the lord to fill my cup. He said in his model prayer "give us this day our daily bread." Therefore I can't worry about tomorrow. All I can do is live today and receive all he has for me today. He will do it. It has worked for me in my life.
Let's Pray: Father in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I pray that this reader will feel your presence right now even as they read this. I pray that your glory will be manifested in their life and the you will fill their cup with more of you. I pray that you will make them whole and renew their strength. Let them experience more of you in their life. Heal every sick, depressed. and oppressed person reading this right now. We need you God. If you don't help us no one can. Fill marriage cups right now God. Let nothing or no one break up marriages. Fill our spiritual cup and our finacial cup

Trust God
Do you really know who God is? Do you know how powerful HE is? Do you know how good HE is? I'm sure many of you will answer yes to these questions, but do you really believe it. Sometimes we hear things so much that we except it, but have not experienced it personally.
Nahum 1:7 says "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble, and he knoweth them that trust in HIM." No matter what you face this day or any other day, know that God knows who you are and He is your refuge in times of trouble. He knows the vary hairs on your head.
I have found this to be so true. In my weakest times I have felt God stronger than ever. I guess that's why He said in 2 Corinthians 12:9 "my strength is made perfect in your weakness." We will all face weak moments in this life but God knows your trial before you went into it. All He wants is permission from you to step in and save the day. When you call on HIM he rushes to move on your behalf because you trust HIM.
It use to be so hard for me to pray "lord let your will be done." For some reason I thought my will was better than God's will. I didn't fully trust HIM. I wanted to fit HIM into my schedule. I was going to make it happen. However, God does not work like that. HE said in Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the thoughts I think towards you, saith the lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
Let us pray: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we repent for not trusting you in all things. We ask you to come in our life and give us more strength to trust you. Our flesh tells us that we don't need you, but we know better. Lord we love you and we want to please you everyday. It's hard and we can't do it in our flesh. We need your spirit to dwell on the inside. Let us know that everything will be alright. Satan the lord rebuke you. We come against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. We plead the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth on our Physical bodies, our families, our possessions, our endeavors, and our influence in the earth. God, let your glory shine forth in our life. Reveal yourself to us. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, AMEN.

God Is Coming To Your Rescue
As a citizen of the Kingdom of God we are constantly at war with the forces of darkness that come to destroy or lives and hinder the purpose and plan of God for us. The enemy will work day and night to turn you away from God and make you believe that God does not care about you. He finds pleasure in causing sickness and disease, worry, anxiety, panic, fear, doubt of God, and every evil work in our lives. It is our charge as Kingdom Citizens to fight him with the word of God.
It's important to know that as a believer you will have trials and tribulations in this life. God allows them to show us who we are and just how much we need HIM. According to Hebrews 10:35, we should always have great confidence in God because it brings about a great reward. What reward? When God sees how confident we are in HIM and HIS WORD he is compelled to move on our behalf. He said in Isiah 55:11 that his word will not return unto him void, but accomplish the thing HE sent it out to do. He is obligated to respond to HIS word.
In Hebrews 10:36 we find that anyone who want to accomplish the will of GOD for their life has to have endurance. God has given each of us a built in ability to endure trials of this life. By enduring trials and tribulations we receive the promises of the God.
No matter how hard it gets or how bad it seems, you've got to understand that God hears you when you cry and HE will suddenly respond to your cry. Hebrews 10:37 says that God is coming and HE will not tarry. Our time is not God's time and HE knows just when to bring you out. There is an old song that says these words "If I were in control of my life I think that I would work things out much differently; There would be no hurt and no pain. Of these things my life would be scot free. But that just goes to show how little I know about leading and controlling my life because all these things have worked together just to make the best of me."
In my own life I have had to walk this word out. It is not always a good feeling and at times can seem near impossible. I guess that's why Jesus said in Matthew 19:26 that "with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible." It is possible that even though you are going through, you are about to receive a visitation from God and HE will rescue you from the hand of the enemy.

Through The Eyes of God
Have you ever been stressed out about a situation? Are you up all night thinking about a way to fix your problems? Do you try to control every situation you are confronted with? Well I have been guilty of all of these at one time or another. My eyes were opened recently through a simple truth found in Psalm 32:8. "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."
Baam! It hit me. I've got to stand still and depend on GOD to instruct and teach me which way to go. Why? When I do this I am going through life with the vision of God and not my own vision. 1 Corinthians 13 says that "we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face." We will never have all the answers because we don't have all the knowledge. But the advantage is that we rely and trust in the one who is the author of knowledge.
It is my goal to put this to work in my marriage, job, and ministry. Sometimes I try to be superman and fix things myself, but I'm learning to trust God even the more. Sometimes God will use situations to show you who is really in control.

Sunday Best Winner ( Do Record Compaines Really Know?)
I know many of you are celebrating the win of Leandria Johnson on Sunday Best 3. I am too. I learned a few lessons by watching her throughout the competition.
Lesson 1: Never Judge A Book By It's Cover.
Some times we have a tendency to judge people by what they look like. This girl came to the audition with nothing and left the most prosperous person in the room. The next time you meet a person try to get to know the inside of them. Outward appearances will fool you every time.
Lesson 2: Be Yourself
From the time she came on the show she was always herself. Take the "Shug Avery Song" God Is Trying To Tell You Something. She took it and made it her own. She was not trying to be Shug. That is awesome!! Many of us think that in order to make it we have to sing or act like someone else, but I have found that people love the real you. Those that don't love the real you are not worth your time or consideration. I love John P. Kee, but if I get on stage and try to be him, I will loose every time. We already have a John. Maybe there's someone out there that loves to hear E.J. sing.
Lesson 3: Records Companies Don't Know Jack (LOL)
If this girl had gone to a record company executive they would have laughed at her and never given her the time of day. Let's not even talk about her sending in her demo cd. It would still be sitting in the "Tuesday is listening day pile." (Independent artist know what that is.) In a way the show is a deceptive. Why? During the course of this competition they actually do what was done with groups like the Temptation, The Supremes, the Jackson Five, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and others. It's called "Artist Development." But those of us that study where the record industry is right now know that this is not practiced any more. You have to come already groomed. Maybe that's why the real musicianship is mission in music today. I know many MAJOR GOSPEL ARTIST who this girl can sing circles around. What's up with that? I can't wait to go out and and buy her cd.
Thank you GOD. Now we can breathe. Thank you Leandria for showing the world that true singers with real soul still exist.

Stage Presence
I read this quote today "A good performer jumps on stage, looks out at the audience, and thinks, "Here I am!"A great performer jumps on stage, looks out at the audience, and thinks, "There you are!" I found this to be a lesson well learned. Every artist should be excited about performing for your audience. It adds wonders to your stage presence. You are there to share your gifts with them. Their gift to you is being an empty vessel for you to pour your gift of music into.

Prioritize
Hello all my faithful readers. I hope all is well with you and that you are still moving steady towards your goals and aspirations. Me? I'm at a moment of reflection and where I'm going in life. It's always good to do that from time to time to make sure you are not engaging in things that don't push you towards your destiny. Of course, most you know, my priorities are God, Marriage, and then Music. I have to consistently make sure that the MUSIC doesn't exceed the other two. Yes.... anyone who is into music like I am will tell you that it is so easy to focus just on music and neglect everything else around you. I must say I've been doing a pretty good job, but I could use some improvement. How about you?
It may not be music for you, but whatever your passion is, don't let it allow you to neglect those other important things. I am so passionate about my music that I can block everything and everybody out- even GOD. Stay focused, but keep things in order. Minding the other important areas of your life will help to keep your life, as a whole, on the right track. You will begin to find a sense of peace.

Mustard Seed Faith
All over the world people are going through major transition. Jobs are decreasing and it is so tempting to give up and throw in the towel. Even in our churches membership is getting low and tithes are down. Those that are sick don't have insurance to cover their bill and those that do have insurance ..well... most times the insurance company finds a million reasons not to pay. People are in need of some kind of hope to hang on to. Many of us feel down and out.
I want to charge you to grab hold to mustard seed faith. What is that? Jesus said if your belief in HIM and what HE can do for you is as small as a mustard seed, you could speak to any Mountain and it would have to move. That's right! You have the power in your mouth to change your situation. Whatever your mountain is. When Jesus was being tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:1-11) he used the word to fight him. That's what you have to do . Learn to speak over yourself and your situation. Jesus said that by HIS stripes you are already healed. So declare that; even though you can't afford to go to the doctor. If your bill is due and you don't have the money declare "I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. "
He came so we could have life abundantly. Live your life to the fullest. Declare that you will not pray and then worry. God's got it in control. I know it feels bad now and it's frustrating now, but always remember that your testimony starts with a test. Tho we are tried like silver in the fire we will come out as pure gold! We must be refined and then we need a shine. There is a process to our wholeness. There is significance to every experience. With every trial we learn our foundation becomes firm.
